Van Halen a fost o trupă americană de hard rock, înființată în 1972 în Pasadena, California. Face parte dintre formațiile care au readus hard rock-ul în prim-planul scenei muzicale, fiind cunoscute pentru concertele live energice și virtuozitatea chitaristului Eddie Van Halen.
Best of Both Worlds este un single lansat în 1986 la casa de discuri Warner Bros. Records. Conține înregistrarea de studio Best of Both Worlds și versiunea sa live. CD-ul a apărut în ambalaj din plastic ca disc alb (white label) cu logo-ul Warner în filigran.
La momentul lansării single-ului, componența trupei era formată din Sammy Hagar (voce), Eddie Van Halen (chitară), Alex Van Halen (tobe) și Michael Anthony (chitară bas).
