NOW 12″ 80s: 1981 este o compilație lansată în 2023 de casa de discuri EMI pe patru CD-uri. Se concentrează pe versiunile extinse „12 inch” ale pieselor apărute în 1981 și prezintă o paletă variată de genuri — de la muzică electronică, disco, Europop, indie pop până la jazz-funk și dub.
Setul oferă în total 46 de piese remasterizate în ediții care, la momentul lansării originale, au dominat ringurile de dans — de exemplu Planet Earth (Night version), The Sound of the Crowd, Ghost Town (extended version), Physical (long version) și Rapture (special disco mix). Muzica este prezentată într-un digifile cu 8 panouri, unele piese au fost remasterizate în anii 2003, 2010, 2012 și 2021. Compilația surprinde atmosfera sonoră caracteristică începutului anilor '80 prin intermediul mixurilor prelungite, concepute inițial pentru viniluri.
