The Vision Bleak este un duo german care interpretează horror metal, gen ce combină gothic metal, doom, elemente simfonice și estetica horror. A fost fondat de Ulf Theodor Schwadorf (Empyrium) și Allen B. Konstanz (Nox Mortis) în anul 2000. Versurile lor sunt inspirate de clasicii literaturii și filmului de groază – H. P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, George A. Romero sau John Carpenter.
Albumul Weird Tales a apărut în 2024 la casa de discuri Prophecy Productions. Este un opus de o oră redat într-o singură compoziție, care dezvoltă abordarea teatrală și orchestrală a trupei față de metal. Piesa combină pasaje doom, elemente death metal, instrumente cu coarde și vocal de operă într-o frescă horror monumentală.
La album au contribuit Allen B. Konstanz și Markus Stock.
