Whitesnake este o trupă britanică de hard rock înființată la Londra în 1978 de solistul David Coverdale, fost membru Deep Purple. Deși grupul și-a conturat rapid propria identitate, Coverdale a rămas singurul membru constant pe întreaga durată a existenței sale. Cu un sunet blues-rock caracteristic și piese melodice, Whitesnake au câștigat popularitate mondială.
Compilația Unzipped a apărut în 2018 la casa de discuri Rhino și este disponibilă pe 2 CD-uri în digipack. Se concentrează pe versiuni acustice, unplugged și orchestrale ale unor piese cunoscute și mai puțin cunoscute — aici veți găsi, de exemplu, rearanjări acustice ale hit-urilor din anii optzeci (Here I Go Again, Is This Love, The Deeper the Love), piese de pe albumul solo al lui David Coverdale, Into the Light (Love Is Blind), cât și de pe albumele ulterioare Good to Be Bad și Forevermore (Summer Rain, Forevermore) și înregistrări demo rare și live. Albumul conține în total 31 de piese.
La compilație au participat chitariștii Reb Beach și Joel Hoekstra, basistul Michael Devin și claviaristul Michele Luppi.
