10,000 Maniacs este o trupă americană de rock fondată în 1981 în Jamestown. Componența inițială de cinci membri a fost completată ulterior de solista Natalie Merchant, care mai târziu a devenit celebră ca artistă solo.
Albumul live MTV Unplugged pe dublu vinil colorat surprinde concertul acustic înregistrat pentru postul muzical MTV în 1993. Înregistrarea a fost lansată la scurt timp după plecarea lui Natalie Merchant, care a decis să se dedice carierei solo, devenind astfel ultimul ei album cu trupa. Concertul include șaisprezece piese, printre care These Are Days, Because the Night și un cover al piesei Jolene. În 1993, trupa a cântat și la ceremonia de inaugurare a președintelui Bill Clinton.
