Black Sabbath este o trupă engleză de heavy metal, considerată pionieră a genului. Formația a fost înființată la Birmingham în 1968 de chitaristul Tony Iommi, basistul Geezer Butler, vocalistul Ozzy Osbourne și bateristul Bill Ward. Primele trei albume ale grupului, Black Sabbath (1970), Paranoid (1970) și Master of Reality (1971), au contribuit la definirea genului heavy metal și sunt astăzi considerate pietre de temelie ale muzicii metal.
Albumul Live Evil a apărut inițial în 1982, fiind prima înregistrare live oficială a grupului. Această ediție aniversară Super Deluxe de 40 de ani pe patru CD-uri cuprinde versiuni nou remasterizate ale materialului live original (CD1 și CD2), precum și înregistrări nou remixate de la trei concerte americane din turneul din aprilie și mai 1982 (CD3 și CD4 – Seattle, San Antonio, Dallas, Fresno). Pe album apar vocalistul Ronnie James Dio, bateristul Vinnie Appice și membrii fondatori Tony Iommi și Geezer Butler. Lista pieselor include clasice metal precum War Pigs, Paranoid, Iron Man, Heaven and Hell sau Neon Knights.
