Black Sabbath a fost o formație britanică de heavy metal fondată în Birmingham în 1968, considerată una dintre pionierele genului. Albumele lor timpurii, precum Black Sabbath, Paranoid și Master of Reality, au contribuit la definirea sunetului fundamental al hard rock-ului și metalului anilor '70.
Minialbumul The End a fost lansat pe 20 ianuarie 2016 exclusiv ca ediție de turneu – ediția limitată era disponibilă doar la concertele din turneul de adio The End Tour. Prima jumătate conține piese nelansate anterior din sesiunile de studio pentru albumul 13, iar a doua jumătate cuprinde înregistrări live realizate în turneele din perioada 2013–2014. Aceasta este ultima apariție discografică a trupei Black Sabbath alături de vocalistul Ozzy Osbourne.
