Blackmore's Night este un duet american folk-rock inspirat de muzica renascentistă, condus de chitaristul Ritchie Blackmore (cunoscut din Deep Purple și Rainbow) și cântăreața Candice Night. Creația lor îmbină elemente tradiționale folk cu aranjamente rock moderne.
Albumul Winter Carols a fost lansat în 2006 la casa de discuri earMUSIC și reprezintă al șaselea album de studio al formației. Ediția digipack cu 2 CD-uri conține în total 27 de piese cu tematică de Crăciun – colinde tradiționale și cântece de iarnă, printre care Coventry Carol, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Silent Night și We Three Kings. Coperta albumului, pictată de Karsten Topelmann, prezintă versiunea de iarnă a aceleiași străzi din Rothenburg ob der Tauber din Germania care a apărut și pe coperta albumului Under a Violet Moon – atunci într-o noapte de vară. Colindele tradiționale sunt interpretate pe album în spirit renascentist, utilizând instrumente de epocă.
