Earth, Wind & Fire este o formație americană de R&B din Chicago, care a vândut peste 90 de milioane de albume în întreaga lume. Distinsă cu zece premii Grammy și introdusă în Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, formația a devenit celebră prin combinația unică de funk, soul, jazz și afropop, cu un falsetto caracteristic și o puternică secțiune de instrumente de suflat Phenix Horns.
Compilația The Real... Earth, Wind & Fire a fost lansată în 2017 de casa de discuri Columbia ca un set de colecție pe 3 CD-uri, cuprinzând 45 de înregistrări esențiale ale grupului. Include icoane ale genului precum „Shining Star”, „That's the Way of the World”, „Fantasy”, „Serpentine Fire”, „Can't Hide Love” și interpretarea live a piesei „Sun Goddess” alături de Ramsey Lewis. Setul oferă o trecere în revistă completă a creației uneia dintre cele mai profitabile trupe din istoria muzicii.
La momentul lansării compilației, formația era condusă de trei membri fondatori: Verdine White (chitară bas), Philip Bailey (voce, percuție) și Ralph Johnson (tobe, voce).
