Grateful Dead a fost o trupă rock americană fondată în 1965 în California, renumită pentru stilul eclectic care îmbina rock, folk, country, jazz, bluegrass, blues și psychedelia. Au fost celebri pentru improvizațiile instrumentale ample din timpul concertelor live și pentru baza devotată de fani cunoscută sub numele de „Deadheads”.
Albumul Europe '72 pe 3 CD-uri prezintă înregistrări remasterizate de la turneul european al trupei din 1972.
