Steve Hackett este un chitarist și compozitor britanic care a câștigat notorietate ca membru al formației de rock progresiv Genesis (1971–1977). După plecarea din Genesis, și-a continuat cariera solo, combinând rock-ul progresiv cu elemente de blues, jazz și muzică clasică. În 2010 a fost introdus în Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ca membru al Genesis.
Albumul Metamorpheus apare în 2024 ca reeditare specială pe CD în format digipack la casa de discuri InsideOut Music. Înregistrarea oferă cincisprezece piese, printre care The Pool of Memory and the Pool of Forgetfulness, Eurydice Taken și Return To the Realm of Eternal Renewal. Tehnica chitaristică a lui Hackett și abordarea sa compozițională au influențat numeroși artiști, inclusiv pe Alex Lifeson și Brian May.
