HammerFall este o trupă suedeză de power metal din Göteborg, fondată în 1993 de chitaristul Oscar Dronjak și Jesper Strömblad. Albumul de debut Glory to the Brave (1997) a declanșat în Europa un nou val de interes pentru heavy metal.
Compilația Steel Meets Steel – Ten Years of Glory a apărut în 2007 la casa de discuri Nuclear Blast pe dublu CD și acoperă primii zece ani ai trupei. Selecția de 29 de piese include înregistrări esențiale precum Hearts on Fire, Renegade, Hero's Return și versiunea live a piesei Let the Hammer Fall. Materialul cuprinde întreaga gamă a creației lor – de la primele compoziții imnice până la piesele de succes ulterioare care au stabilit HammerFall ca una dintre forțele de frunte ale power metalului european.
Pe album apar Oscar Dronjak (chitară), Joacim Cans (voce), Magnus Rosén (chitară bas), Stefan Elmgren (chitară) și Anders Johansson (tobe).
