Lee „Scratch” Perry a fost un cântăreț, producător și pionier jamaican al dubului, care la sfârșitul anilor '60 a fondat casa de discuri Upsetter Records și a colaborat cu numeroși artiști reggae de vârf, inclusiv Bob Marley. S-a remarcat prin tehnici de studio inovatoare și o abordare experimentală a sunetului.
Compilația Lee Perry, lansată de casa de discuri Trojan Records în 2017 pe 2 CD-uri, reunește 53 de piese din producția sa timpurie, din perioada 1971–1973, când au apărut înregistrări esențiale pentru casa de discuri Trojan. Setul oferă o trecere în revistă a operei lui Perry din perioada de apogeu a reggae, când dezvolta tehnici de remixare și utilizare a efectelor de studio. Printre piesele incluse se numără Do Your Thing, Place Called Africa, Battle Axe sau Earthquake.
