Prince a fost un cântăreț, compozitor și multi-instrumentist american, considerat unul dintre cei mai remarcabili muzicieni ai generației sale. Muzica sa îmbina funk, rock, R&B, soul, pop și hip-hop. Este de șapte ori laureat al premiului Grammy și membru al Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Albumul Diamonds And Pearls, lansat în 1991 ca al treisprezecelea său album de studio, a fost primul proiect cu formația de acompaniament The New Power Generation. Această ediție Super Deluxe pe 12 discuri de vinil conține albumul original nou remasterizat de inginerul Bernie Grundman, 15 remix-uri și versiuni editate ale single-urilor din epocă, 33 de înregistrări de studio inedite din legendarul Vault al lui Prince și 14 piese live. În total oferă 75 de piese audio, dintre care 47 sunt lansate pentru prima dată. Pachetul include și un Blu-ray cu material video de concert și un mix spațial Dolby Atmos pentru audiofili.
