Gerry Rafferty a fost un muzician și compozitor scoțian cunoscut pentru hit-urile solo Baker Street, Right Down the Line și Night Owl. Înainte de cariera solo, a fost membru fondator al trupei Stealers Wheel, cu care a înregistrat piesa de succes Stuck in the Middle with You.
Al doilea album solo, City To City, a apărut în 1978 și a fost primul proiect independent al lui Rafferty după plecarea din Stealers Wheel. Albumul a devenit un bestseller mondial, a cucerit clasamentele americane și a obținut certificare de disc de platină în SUA. Pe lângă piesa care dă titlul albumului, se regăsește probabil cel mai faimos solo de saxofon din istoria muzicii populare – în piesa Baker Street. Acum apare într-o reediție pe vinil remasterizată din 2023.
