Tears for Fears este un duo pop-rock britanic din Bath, fondat în 1981 de Roland Orzabal și Curt Smith. În anii '80, piesele lor melodioase precum „Shout”, „Everybody Wants to Rule the World” sau „Mad World” au ajuns în topul clasamentelor muzicale.
Albumul Songs For A Nervous Planet, lansat de casa de discuri Concord Records, combină patru piese de studio cu o înregistrare live de concert din Franklin, statul Tennessee. Primul disc aduce piese noi: Say Goodbye To Mum And Dad, The Girl That I Call Home, Emily Said și Astronaut, urmate de versiuni live ale hiturilor precum The Tipping Point, Everybody Wants To Rule The World sau Sowing The Seeds Of Love. Al doilea disc continuă cu interpretări live, printre care se numără clasicele Mad World, Woman In Chains, Head Over Heels sau finalul Shout.
