Lou Reed (1942–2013) a fost un cântăreț, chitarist și compozitor american, una dintre cele mai importante figuri din istoria rock-ului. Ca fondator al The Velvet Underground, a redefinit posibilitățile muzicii rock, iar în cariera solo a creat o serie de albume de cult aflate la granița dintre rock, art rock și experiment.
Compilația The Many Faces of Lou Reed a apărut în 2016 la casa de discuri Music Brokers ca un set triplu pe CD, cuprinzând 38 de piese. Oferă o selecție de înregistrări legate de moștenirea lui Reed, inclusiv versiuni live ale unor clasice precum Heroin, I'm Waiting for the Man, Sweet Jane, Walk on the Wild Side sau Satellite of Love. Setul acoperă creația de la era The Velvet Underground până la repere solo și dezvăluie bogăția universului artistic al lui Reed.
