Barry White a fost un cântăreț, producător și compozitor american de muzică soul și R&B, cunoscut pentru vocea sa profundă și inconfundabilă și pentru piesele sale romantice. Cele mai mari succese le-a obținut în anii '70, când împreună cu Love Unlimited Orchestra a creat hitul Love's Theme, iar ca artist solo a strălucit cu piese precum Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe și You're the First, the Last, My Everything. Pentru activitatea sa a primit două premii Grammy.
Compilația Love's Theme (The Best Of The 20th Century Records Singles) pe CD a apărut în 2018 la casa de discuri 20th Century Records în digipack. Reunește 21 de versiuni single și ediții ale hiturilor lui White din perioada sa cea mai prolifică, când a creat pentru casa de discuri 20th Century Records. Pe lângă cele două hituri care dau titlul albumului, găsim aici piese precum Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up, It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me, Oh What a Night for Dancing sau You See the Trouble With Me, care în 1976 a ajuns pe locul #2 în Regatul Unit.
