The Who este o formație rock britanică, considerată una dintre cele mai influente trupe din istoria genului. Componența de bază a inclus vocalistul Roger Daltrey, chitaristul Pete Townshend, basistul John Entwistle și toboșarul Keith Moon.
Tommy este al patrulea album de studio al formației, lansat în 1969 la casa de discuri Polydor. Este o lucrare conceptuală de pionierat, una dintre primele opere rock, care povestește povestea lui Tommy Walker, un băiat surd, mut și orb, pe drumul său spre a deveni lider spiritual. Albumul a fost compus în principal de Pete Townshend, cu contribuții de la John Entwistle și Keith Moon. LP-ul de vinil oferă 24 de piese, inclusiv Pinball Wizard, I'm Free și Underture, de zece minute. În 1998, Tommy a fost inclus în Grammy Hall of Fame.
