Chet Baker a fost un trompetist de jazz, cântăreț și instrumentist la flugelhorn american, recunoscut ca unul dintre pionierii cool jazz-ului. Succesul său s-a manifestat îndeosebi în anii '50, colaborând cu muzicieni de seamă precum Gerry Mulligan și Paul Desmond. În 1987 a fost introdus în Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame.
Compilația Easy to Love a apărut în 2004 la casa de discuri Dreyfus Jazz. Adună 19 piese care cuprind cele mai bune momente din opera lui Baker – standarduri de jazz precum Long Ago and Far Away, I Fall in Love Too Easily sau piesa titulară Easy to Love, în care excelează prin timbrul cald și inconfundabil al trompetei și interpretarea vocală memorabilă.
