Cântăreţul şi chitaristul britanic David Gilmour este unul dintre foştii membri ai trupei Pink Floyd. Albumul Live At Pompeii a fost înregistrat în iulie 2016, în cadrul turneului Rattle That Lock Tour al lui Gilmour, în timpul a două concerte care au avut loc în amfiteatrul antic din Pompei. Acestea sunt primele concerte rock cu public care au fost organizate vreodată în acest loc.
