Saxon este o trupă britanică de heavy metal fondată în 1975 la Barnsley, reprezentant cheie al mișcării new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM). În anii optzeci a obținut un succes comercial semnificativ, vânzând peste 23 de milioane de discuri în întreaga lume, și continuă să concerteze activ și astăzi.
Albumul Rock the Nations a apărut inițial în 1986 ca al zecelea album de studio al trupei. Această reeditare din 2018 pe CD aduce înregistrările remasterizate din 2010 și cuprinde 17 piese, inclusiv piese bonus de pe fața B a single-urilor (de exemplu Chase the Fade, Everybody Up) și înregistrări live de la Reading Festival.
