Scorpions este o formație germană de hard rock fondată în 1965 la Hanovra, devenită una dintre cele mai celebre trupe rock din lume. Heavy metalul lor melodic și baladele rock impresionante le-au adus zeci de milioane de albume vândute și un loc de neșters în istoria genului.
Savage Amusement, al zecelea album de studio al formației, a apărut în aprilie 1988 la casa de discuri BMG. Această ediție pe 2 discuri în digipack conține 21 de piese – LP-ul original completat cu demo-uri și materiale bonus, printre care Rhythm of Love, Passion Rules the Game și Believe in Love. Albumul a ajuns pe locul 5 în clasamentele americane și a primit certificare de platină în SUA. Al doilea disc include filmul documentar To Russia With Love and Other Savage Amusements și versiuni live ale hit-urilor.
La momentul lansării albumului, componența Scorpions era: Rudolf Schenker (chitară, voce de fundal), Klaus Meine (voce principală), Matthias Jabs (chitară, voce de fundal), Francis Buchholz (chitară bas, voce de fundal) și Herman Rarebell (tobe, percuție, voce de fundal).
