Saxon este o trupă britanică de heavy metal fondată în 1975 la Barnsley. Se numără printre reprezentanții cheie ai așa-numitului nou val al heavy metalului britanic (NWOBHM) și a obținut un succes comercial semnificativ în anii optzeci.
Albumul War Games apare pe LP. Conține piese precum And The Bands Played On, Princess Of The Night și Rough And Ready, alături de înregistrări live: 747 (Strangers In The Night) și Wheels Of Steel.
